I was bottle fed on Star Wars. I grew up, played, breathed and lived Star Wars. Never before, have I been so excited for a movie. Phantom Menace had me ridiculous with joy. (Jar Jar Sucks BTW) Attack of the Clones regained a little of my faith. Revenge of the Sith, although long winded, Restored my faith in the series by the end.
However, I thought the hopes and aspirations for the continuation of the saga were a pipe dream. When Disney bought the rights, I was skeptical. Still am to be honest, but these previews... I have to say; look phenomenal! Please Disney, Don't break our hearts. We all know that you're going to milk every penny possible out of Star Wars that you can get your grubby little hands on. With Spin offs, merchandise, animated series, we all know you only care about the almighty dollar. Hell, you guys own a Porn label for cripes sake...
You probably don't care. You more than likely don't give a Ratatouille's Pa-tootie about the fact that Star Wars has molded the very fabric of society. Changed it. Inspired it. How it has given the inspiration for generations to go on in this sad little world. No matter how bad life was, we could always look to the saga for the inspiration we needed. People with potential, some reluctant; fighting against what was wrong with the world and fighting for each other. Whether it be a tyrannical government (hint hint) or every day common folk. The Protagonists did what needed to be done. For honor, for Love, for Family, for Truth.
The trailer looks AMAZING! It eludes to some key points, that the Jedi and Sith are a myth. That even though it is years later, the Empire is still a threat, and that Han Solo and Chewie are still kicking some MAJOR ASS!
ENJOY THE TRAILER! DISNEY, You better tread carefully. We Star Wars folk are a touchy bunch. We could end up being your downfall.
